Notepad – Private Notes

Privacy Policy

Effective October 3, 2026 · Sable Creek Software LLC

Notepad – Private Notes ("the app") is made by Sable Creek Software LLC ("we"). This policy explains what happens to the information you put into the app. The short version: we never see it.

We collect nothing

The app has no account, no sign-up and no login. It contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking code, and it does not connect to the internet. We do not collect, receive, store, sell or share any information about you or anything you write.

Where your notes are kept

Your notes, shop lists and settings are stored only on your iPhone, inside the app's own storage. The app never sends them anywhere.

If you have iPhone backups turned on (iCloud Backup, or a backup to your computer), iOS includes the app's notes in those backups, as it does for most apps. Those backups belong to you and are handled by Apple under your iCloud settings; we have no access to them.

Deleting your notes

Notes you delete go to the app's Trash Can, where you can restore them or delete them forever. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored on your iPhone, apart from any copies in your own backups.

Sharing

The app does not share anything on its own. If a future version lets you send a note to another app, it will only do so when you choose to, using the iPhone's own share sheet.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. Because we collect nothing, a change can never give us data from before it.
